Yoga helps Kristen move closer to feeling a sense of peace, joy and gentleness. It is also a practice in cultivating these qualities when life is hard. Sometimes the practice is fun. Sometimes it’s relaxing. Sometimes it’s difficult. And sometimes it is even boring. But it is always a place for her to practice finding a sense of calm regardless of the feeling it brings on any given day or whatever life circumstances she is facing. It is a place for her to remember that everything will be okay. 

Kristen’s first job at a psychiatric hospital for children and teens allowed her to witness first-hand how consciously moving the body and breathing is an important component to one’s general well-being. Since that time, she has used movement has a tool to support her mental, spiritual and physical health. 

In 2018 Kristen completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training with Sacred Glow Yoga in Birmingham, Alabama. She hopes to help guide you toward focusing your attention on your body and breath, finding the place where strength meets love as a way to cultivate gentleness, joy & peace in your daily life. It is her prayer that as you move and breathe together, you will remember in life’s tough moments that everything will be okay.
